Closehead was formed on January 18, 1997, originated from the idea of a group of energetic young people who liked the music wing Melodic Punk, then formed a band called Closehead.
At the beginning of the formation of Closehead, heavily influenced by bands outside the genre of Melodic Punk as Not Available, MXPX, Blink 182, and other bands. Over time, Closehead began creating her own songs in the hope everyone can receive the songs they created.
In the development to create a solid band, Closehead much do some overhaul in terms of formation of the band. Counted for more than 6 years already, a change of personnel as much as 5 times, which makes them evolve to the point musically solid.
After going through various musical developments especially in the city, and appeared in many musical events, Closehead began trying to show the color of their own music. And after following some genre compilation Melodic Punk in London, Closehead finally produced a mini album (EP), which was released in July 2002 by My Own Deck Records with a hit song featuring 5. And in London itself, Closehead song request line has been included in some of the leading private radio station in London, and a song that bertitle Closehead 'Eat My Holiday' had become the top Indie chart at a leading private radio station in the city of Bandung.
In mid-2007 Closehead issued bertitle Split album "DiscoPunkHead", and a single titled "Standing Friends" re-entered the top request line leading private radio in London, until 2008 this single is still top incoming request bandung private radio and several other cities, followed by Family Compilation Vol.1 Distro Linoleum and Nu Buzz.1 Geronimo 2008.

The vision and mission is to make music Closehead itself as a color of life that can serve as a complement to human needs, featuring music that can be accepted by all people and be able to entertain, especially the many young people experience the dynamics of the times and show the best performance for the audience Closehead both in the live stages as well as in a piece of music (song material) that Closehead produce.
